Personal Support Worker |
|
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
In accordance with the Personal Worker Program Standards (Ministry
of Training, Colleges, Universities, December 2004) and in
accordance with the Policies of Muskoka Home Care Connection, the
job duties and responsibilities are:
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
- Personal Support Worker Certificate
- Experience dealing with Seniors, Elderly, and Persons with an
intellectual disability (i.e., dementia)
- Plan menus for special needs
- Administer bedside and personal care
- Feed or assist in feeding
- Change non-sterile dressing
- Assist clients to walk
- Aid clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- Work in client's home
- Able to work under pressure
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
